## 2018 Exhibition-specific guidelines: ### The show is booked for **2nd-16th September** in StJames Hathcham building, aka the Church.
### 1. Exhibtion time line #### 2018 Exhibition-specific guidelines:
1. build-up starting Monday 27th August 1. Exhibition Time Line
2. All works complete and ready for examination 10am on Thursday 6th September - **17th August**: Risk Assessment Deadline
3. exhibition opening thursday 6th September, 6pm - 9pm. - **27th August**: Begin build.
4. pack-down 10-14 September. - **6th September**: All works complete and ready for examination by 10am
- **6th September**: Exhibition opening from 6-9pm
### 2. Risk Assessments (including equipment requests) filled in and submitted before Friday the 17th of August - **10-14th September**: Pack-down.
1. Completion of risk assesment is a legal requirment of public exhibition 2. Risk Assessments

3. failure to submit form will effect allocation of equipment provided by dept. - Completion of risk assessment is a legal requirement of any public exhibition
4. No work or installation will be allowed in the show without a completed risk assesment process. - In the risk assessment form you will outline:

### 3. Equipment reservation and booking - Power requirements
1. Students can request the equipment they deem appropriate for their needs - A description of any blackout space/ suspended items/ height work
2. TechTeam reserves the right for final decision on equipment choice considering the needs of the exhibition group as a whole and availability of equipment - High voltage (above 48v) equipment used
3. Maximum 1 projector or 1 large screen per person - Combustible materials
4. Maximum 1 iMac per person - Risks your work poses during installation and to the public
5. Maximum 3 items in total per person - Failure to submit form will affect allocation of equipment provided by the department.
- No work or installation will be allowed in the show without a completed risk assessment process.
3. Equipment reservation and booking
### 4. Installtion and setup requiring previous permission from TechTeam - Students can request the equipment they deem appropriate for their needs
- TechTeam reserves the right for final decision on equipment choice considering the needs of the exhibition group as a whole and availability of equipment
1. Painting of walls or floors - **Maximum 1 projector or 1 large screen per person**
2. errecting, removing or altering structural elements. - **Maximum 1 iMac per person**
3. techincal support is required for any work happening 2m (or greater) above floor level. - **Maximum 3 items in total per person**
4. suspension of any object heavier than 1kg. 4. Installation and setup
5. No teaching equipment or IT services machinery to be be moved. Techincians will remove on request - **You require previous permission from TechTeam to**:
6. All changes of this nature should be desrcibed in advance in Risk assesement form. - Paint the walls or floors
- Erect, remove or alter structural elements
### 5. Space Packdown, repairs and restorations. - Install any work of 1.5m (or greater) above floor level
- Suspend any object.
1. All space must be returned to its previous state and condition. - Do anything that will potentially need to be undone after the degree show.
2. Walls will be left repaired, holes filled and white. - No teaching equipment or IT services machinery to be be moved. Technicians will remove on request.
3. floors will be repainted with provded floor paint, allow two days drying time in all cases. - All changes of this nature should be described in advance in the Risk Assessment form.
4. The Dept will provide a skip, outside SJH/Church , all waste must be removed and thrown out. 5. Exhibition Equipment & invigilation
5. Any works people wish to keep must be taken with them. - **Each participant is responsible for their own equipment or equipment they borrowed from the Department**
6. the Dept can not provided any storage of works. - **No equipment is to be swapped or exchanged without techTeam confirmation**
- **No equipment, unless secured suitably or invigilated, is to be left over night in the space**
### 6. Exhibition Equipment & invigilation - **If equipment has to be left in spaces a designated invigilator must remain in the space until 10pm**
- **Once Security lock up, equipment is considered safe to leave out over night.**
1. Each participant is responsible for their own equipment or equipment they borrowed from the Department - Invigilation has to start with Security unlocking the space in the morning.
2. No equipment is to be swapped or exchanged without techTeam confirmation - The Department is not responsible for any personal belongings left in public exhibition spaces.
3. No equipment, unless secured suitably or invigilated, is to be left over night in the space 6. Space Pack-down, repairs and restorations.
